Fresh Butterfish fillets
Butterfish, a truly unique species of fish. Starting life as females, as they grow older, they not only change colour, but turn in to males!
Known also as Greenbone due to the green tinge of their bones, the fillets have a succulent, delicate white flesh with medium texture. The mild flavour lends itself to more gentle cooking methods, such as poaching, steaming or baking. This allows it to hold it’s moisture once cooked and be beautifully tender.
We have de-boned and taken the skin off our Butterfish fillets to make it quick and easy for you at home.
